I know everyone has left a comment about it but 10 Things I Hate About You really shaped me TO MY VERY CORE. I am, and always will be, in love with Heath Ledger because of that movie. I also wanted so badly to be like Kat as a teen that I still catch myself listening to certain songs and buying those long skirts she always wore, unconsciously trying to be like her. I am the way I am because of Kat Stratford. lol
But also What If? unlocked a DEEP memory for me. Holy shit. I remember seeing the trailers for that movie and wanting to see it soooooo bad and then I completely forgot about it until this very moment. New goal in life: finally watch What If? and fulfill my pre-teen dreams.
Literally like I need 10 things to be injected into me through IV. I also find myself dressing like Kat sometimes. Her style is so iconic! Ugh if I could just craft a man like Heath Ledger in this movie I would lol. I (obviously lol) highly recommend What If! It’s so cute and very much gives indie romcom, for better and for worse because sometimes it does give ~qUiRkY~ vibes but still a good watch.
Heath Ledger in general is a stunning man but him specifically as his character in 10 things is like my perfect man lol. When I rewatched 27 dresses as an adult I could definitely see its flaws but I’m emotionally attached to it so I still love it and I don’t think it’s as bad as the reviews say lol.
Oooo see I love Clueless but I never think of it as a rom-com for some reason, more like just a teen comedy with romance on the side. Those sound like great films! I’ll have to check out some Almodovar, he’s on my list. I saw The Skin I Live In and hated it though so I’ve procrastinated lol. Your pick sounds really interesting though!

Honestly even if the rest of the movie aged TERRIBLY it’d be worth it for sweet lil James Mardsen and all the fun dresses 🥲
